RELIGIOUS LEADERS

When someone we know dies, it can call attention to the importance of the spiritual dimensions of life. And when faced with the decision of organ and tissue donation during the trauma of a loved one’s death, the question often arises, “What is my religion’s stance on organ and tissue donation?” Most people are not aware of their faith’s doctrine or position regarding organ and tissue donation. As a result, the decision maker often looks to a faith leader for an informed answer.

As a respected faith leader, we want you to be equipped to educate to your congregation about donation and the critical need for more registered donors. Below, you will find free resources for your efforts. If you need additional educational materials, please contact Robin at rmorris@lifeshareok.org.

REQUEST A DVD OF "THE WISH"

As part of its commitment to increasing the number of lifesaving and healing transplants, Donate Life America has partnered with the Georgia-based independent film production company, Creative Media Entertainment (CME) Films, to produce the dramatic and inspirational film, "The Wish" – A Story of Hope, Faith and Generosity. Written by CME Films’ Founder and Director, Ty Manns, The Wish is a faith-based drama about a beloved high school teacher’s kidney failure and her struggles as she awaits the kidney transplant she needs to save her life.

If you would like a copy of "The Wish" on DVD, please contact Robin at rmorris@lifeshareok.org.
