HOW YOU CAN FACILITATE DCD IN YOUR HOSPITAL
• Commit to honor all families’ desire for organ donation after death – whether after brain death or circulatory death.
• Collaborate with LifeShare to assist in developing and implementing DCD protocols.
• Partner with LifeShare in each individual situation to honor a family’s desire or a donor’s wish to donate.
LifeShare will provide the information and training needed to assist the hospital in developing DCD protocols. LifeShare will provide expertise to coordinate DCD donation in each individual family event.
